ITINERARY
4-day private Erg-Chegaga Tour from Marrakech
Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora
Depart from Marrakech and travel through the Atlas Mountains to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore this ancient kasbah, famous for its beautiful clay buildings and film locations. Walk through the narrow streets and climb to the top for desert views.
Continue to Ouarzazate to visit the film studios. Then travel south to Zagora, passing desert landscapes with sand dunes and oases.
Arrive in Zagora and check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight: Riad, guesthouse, or hotel with Dinner and breakfast.
Zagora – Tamgroute – Mhamid – Erg Chegaga
After breakfast, visit Tamgroute village to see the historic Islamic library with ancient manuscripts and traditional pottery workshops.
Continue to Mhamid, the gateway to the Sahara Desert, then travel to Erg Chegaga, the largest dune field in Morocco. The dunes here reach up to 300 meters high.
Explore the dunes on foot or by camel and watch the desert sunset. Enjoy dinner and spend the night under the stars at a luxury desert camp.

Erg Chegaga – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Ouarzazate
Wake up to the sunrise over the desert. After breakfast, leave Erg Chegaga and drive through the desert to Foum Zguid, a small town between the desert and Anti-Atlas Mountains. Stop for lunch and explore the local markets.
Continue to Taznakht, famous for Berber carpet weaving. Visit carpet workshops to see traditional crafts and perhaps buy a handmade carpet.
Arrive in Ouarzazate in the evening. Visit Kasbah Taourirt and enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast, travel back to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains. Drive along mountain roads with views of snow-capped peaks, valleys, and Berber villages.
Stop at Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest mountain pass in North Africa, for panoramic views and photos.
Descend through the mountains and arrive back in Marrakech.
End of the tour.
