ITINERARY
3 days and two nights from Marrakech to Fes
Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades
Leave Marrakech and travel through the High Atlas Mountains, passing Berber villages and terraced fields. Visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and ancient fortified village famous for its beautiful architecture and film locations. Explore the narrow streets and enjoy desert views.
Continue to Ouarzazate to visit the film studios. Drive to Dades Valley and arrive in the evening.
Overnight: in a traditional riad or guesthouse.
Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga
After breakfast, visit Todra Gorge with its tall rock cliffs. Walk along the river and enjoy the natural scenery.
Continue through Erfoud, known for its fossils, and stop in Rissani to explore the traditional markets and ancient buildings.
Arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Ride camels into the dunes at sunset. Enjoy traditional Moroccan dinner with Berber music around the campfire. Sleep in a comfortable desert camp under the stars.
