Private Morocco Tours with Local Guides Since 2010
Numidian Morocco Tours is a local travel company based in Boumalne Dades, founded in 2010 by Mohamed Ben-Amer. We organise private Morocco tours and small group trips for travellers who want to see this country with people who actually live here. Every year we run more than 100 groups, from couples to families of 15.
Our team is 8 local guides who speak English, French, Spanish, Arabic and Berber. We drive our own fleet: 4 Mercedes Vito of 7 seats, 2 minivans and 10 SUV 4x4 vehicles. Nothing is subcontracted to a call centre in another country. When you write to us, you talk to the same team that will be with you on the road.
You can start your trip from Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca, Tangier, Ouarzazate or Agadir. Our guided Morocco tours go from 2 days up to 15 days, and we also run Morocco trekking tours in the High Atlas and the Sahara.
We have 64 reviews on Tripadvisor, and many of them name our people directly: the guide Hossain and the driver Hamid appear again and again. That is the part we care about most.
Guided Morocco Tours Led by Local Berber Guides
Our guided Morocco tours are run only by guides born and raised here. Mohamed Ben-Amer supervises every itinerary personally before the trip starts, so nothing is left to a third party.
Travelling in a new country can feel complicated. Roads, languages, prices in the souk, where to eat. That is exactly the part we take off your hands. Our guided Morocco tours cover the medinas of Fes and Marrakech, the Merzouga dunes, the Dades and Todra gorges, the Berber villages of the Atlas and the Atlantic coast.
Hossain, one of our senior Morocco tour guides, has been working with us since the first years of the company. Hamid, one of our drivers, is the person several travellers on Tripadvisor mention by name for his calm driving on mountain roads. These are the people you will meet.
What Makes Our Guided Morocco Tours Different
- Guided Morocco tours with 8 local guides born here, all speaking at least three languages.
- Guided Morocco tours in small groups only, so you can ask questions at any moment.
- Own fleet of 16 vehicles, air conditioned and checked before every departure.
- Flexible schedule: if you want two nights in Merzouga instead of one, we change it.
- Riads and small hotels chosen by us, not booked automatically by a platform.
Private Morocco Tours Built Around Your Own Plan
A private trip means the vehicle, the guide and the itinerary are only for your group. No shared bus, no fixed departure day, no waiting for other travellers. Our private Morocco tours are the most requested service we have, and the reason is simple: you decide the pace.
This works well for couples on honeymoon, families with small children who need shorter driving days, and groups of friends who want to stop wherever the view is good. If you are travelling alone, a personal tour in Morocco also works, and many solo travellers choose it for exactly that reason.
We wrote a full guide about where to go on this kind of trip: best destinations for a private Morocco tour.
What Our Private Morocco Tours Include
- Your own vehicle from the fleet of 4 Mercedes Vito, 2 minivans and 10 SUV 4x4.
- A dedicated local guide for your group during the whole route.
- Private Morocco tours with a start time and a start city that you choose.
- Accommodation in riads, small hotels and a desert camp in Merzouga.
- Visits that big groups cannot do: family homes, small workshops, local markets.
Special requests are normal for us. Anniversary dinner in the dunes, vegetarian or halal food, a stop to visit relatives living in Morocco. Just tell us before the trip and we arrange it. Our private Morocco tours exist so that the trip fits you, not the other way round.
Affordable Morocco Tours with Real Prices, Not Estimates
Most travel websites never show a number. We do, because affordable Morocco tours without a visible price are just a promise. Our 3 day desert tour from Fes to Merzouga costs, per person:
- 2 people: 270 euros per person
- 3 people: 200 euros per person
- 4 people: 165 euros per person
- 5 people: 140 euros per person
- 6 people: affordable Morocco tours from 130 euros per person
These prices are valid from January to December 2026 and include accommodation. We also run a shorter 2 day desert route from Fes for travellers with less time. Our affordable Morocco tours include transport, hotels or riads along the route, the night in the desert camp and the guide. What is not included is written clearly before you book, so there is no surprise at the end.
How We Keep Our Cheap Morocco Tours Honest
The word cheap usually means something is missing. In our case it does not. Our cheap Morocco tours cost less for three concrete reasons, and none of them is lower quality.
- We own our vehicles, so there is no rental margin added to your price.
- We book riads and hotels directly with the owners, many of them for more than ten years.
- Cheap Morocco tours get cheaper per person as the group grows, which is why the table above drops from 270 to 125 euros.
- No commission for an intermediary agency, because you are booking with the operator itself.
- Seasonal rates in low season, mainly January, February and November.
If your budget is tight, say the number. We will tell you honestly what is possible with it and what is not. Some agencies will sell you anything; we prefer to keep the 64 reviews we have. You can see the full list of cheap Morocco tours from Fes with dates and prices, and our cheap Morocco tours from other cities follow the same rule: the price you read is the price you pay.
Morocco Trekking Tours in the High Atlas and the Sahara
This is the part that separates us from most operators in the country. Beyond the classic desert routes, we run walking and hiking tours in Morocco with mountain guides, from 2 to 7 days, for beginner and experienced trekkers.
Mount Toubkal is the highest peak in North Africa at 4167 metres. The Mgoun massif and the Ait Bougmez valley are far quieter and, for many people, more beautiful. The Saghro mountains in the south have a volcanic landscape that looks like nowhere else in Morocco. All of them are walkable with the right guide.
Our Trekking Routes from Marrakech
- Toubkal Express Ascent, 2 days and 1 night. A steady climb for trekkers who already have experience.
- Berber Villages and Valleys Trek, 3 days and 2 nights. Beginner to moderate level, sleeping in mountain villages.
- Mgoun Ascent and Ait Bougmez Valley Trek, 6 days and 5 nights, through the Central High Atlas.
- Trekking in the Saghro Mountains, 6 days and 5 nights, in the volcanic south.
- High Atlas Trek and Merzouga Dunes, 7 days and 6 nights, our longest guided Morocco tours combining mountain walking with the Sahara.
You can see all of them on our Morocco trekking tours page. These routes can also be booked as private Morocco tours for your group only, with your own mountain guide and vehicle support.
Where Our Morocco Tours Take You
Morocco is small on the map and enormous in practice. In one week you can have breakfast in a Berber village, lunch in a medina that is a thousand years old and dinner in the Sahara. These are the places our routes cover:
- Marrakech: Jemaa el Fna square, the Bahia palace, the souks and the Majorelle garden.
- Merzouga and the Sahara: camel trek at sunset and a night in a fixed camp with private tents.
- Fes: the oldest university in the world and the tanneries, the starting point of our cheap Morocco tours to the desert.
- Chefchaouen: the blue town in the Rif mountains.
- Dades and Todra: the two gorges near our base in Boumalne Dades.
- Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate: the UNESCO kasbah and the film studios.
- Essaouira: Atlantic port town, fresh fish and wind.
Types of Trips We Organise
Affordable Morocco Tours for Every Kind of Traveller
Not everybody travels the same way. Some people have four days between two flights, others have three weeks. We keep several formats open so that affordable Morocco tours are possible in both cases, and our budget trips in Morocco are built on the same vehicles and the same guides as the longer routes.
- Desert routes: 2 to 4 days from Fes, Marrakech or Ouarzazate to Merzouga.
- Grand tours: 8, 10 or 15 days covering imperial cities, mountains and desert, our most complete guided Morocco tours.
- Trekking: 2 to 7 days walking in the High Atlas or the Saghro, described above.
- Day trips: single day routes from Marrakech and Fes, the entry point to our affordable Morocco day trips.
- Cultural stays: cooking with a local family, pottery and carpet workshops.
- Affordable Morocco tours in shared groups for solo travellers who want to reduce the cost per person.
- Car with driver: you plan the route, we provide the vehicle and the driver, one of our cheap Morocco tours formats for independent travellers.
For travellers watching every euro, our low cost trips in Morocco keep the same hotels and the same drivers. What changes is the number of people sharing the vehicle, not the quality of what you get.
Why Travellers Choose Numidian Morocco Tours
Since 2010 we have taken solo travellers, families with four children, retired couples and groups of friends. The reviews on Tripadvisor come from Spain, France, Germany, Bangladesh, the United States and many other countries, which is the reason our guides work in five languages.
One traveller from Bangladesh wrote about an 18 day trip on one of our guided Morocco tours where the plan changed twice and the team simply reorganised it. A family from Germany travelled 8 days with four children and mentioned the guide and the driver by name. That flexibility is not a slogan, it is how a small local company has to work.
Our guided Morocco tours and our private Morocco tours both come from the same idea: you are here for a limited number of days, and those days should not be spent solving problems. That is our job.
Numidian Morocco Tours is registered in Morocco and based in Boumalne Dades, in the Dades valley. Write to us with your dates, the number of people and what interests you most, and we will send a real itinerary with a real price.
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Morocco Tours
These are the questions we receive most often by WhatsApp and email. If yours is not here, just write to us.
What is included in your private Morocco tours?
Our private Morocco tours include a private vehicle from our own fleet, a local guide for your group only, all transport during the route, accommodation in riads or small hotels, daily breakfast and the night in the desert camp when the route includes it. Entrance fees to monuments are included in most itineraries and we tell you clearly when they are not. If you prefer to organise the route yourself, we also offer a Morocco private driver service without a guide.
How much does a desert tour from Fes cost?
Our 3 day route from Fes to Merzouga costs 270 euros per person for 2 travellers and drops to 125 euros per person for a group of 6. Prices valid for 2026. We also have a 2 day version from Fes for shorter stays. These are affordable Morocco tours with the price written down before you book, not an estimate that grows later. Contact us with your dates and group size for the exact quote.
Can I start a Morocco tour from any city?
Yes. Our guided Morocco tours start from Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca, Tangier, Agadir or Ouarzazate. We pick you up at the airport or at your hotel. Our base is in Boumalne Dades, in the middle of the country, which is why we can reach all these cities without extra cost for you in most routes.
Do you organise trekking in the Atlas Mountains?
Yes, and it is one of our specialities. We run 5 fixed trekking routes from Marrakech, between 2 and 7 days: Toubkal Express, Berber Villages and Valleys, Mgoun and Ait Bougmez, Saghro Mountains, and the combined High Atlas with Merzouga dunes. All of them go with a certified mountain guide. The Berber Villages route is suitable for beginners; Toubkal Express requires previous walking experience.
Is Morocco safe for solo travellers and women?
Morocco is a safe country for tourists and we receive solo travellers and groups of women every season. On a private route you always have your guide and driver with you, which removes the two situations that usually create problems: getting lost and not being understood. Our guides speak English, French, Spanish, Arabic and Berber.
What is the difference between a private tour and a group tour?
The difference is who else is in the vehicle. On a private route it is only your group, you set the departure time and you can change the plan during the trip. On a shared route the schedule is fixed and the stops are the same for everybody.
- Private Morocco tours: your own vehicle and guide, flexible itinerary, no waiting for other travellers.
- Cheap Morocco tours in shared groups: lower price per person, fixed schedule, more people in the vehicle.
We work mostly with private routes because our vehicles are 7 seats and our groups are small. In practice this means you often get a private experience at a price close to a shared one.
