Agadir – Taroudant – Taznakht – Aït ben haddou

Your journey begins from the coastal town of Agadir, heading to the charming town of Taroudant. Known as “Little Marrakech” for its resemblance to the larger city. Taroudant has stunning city walls, bustling souks and a rich history waiting to be explored. After soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of Taroudant.

Continue your adventure to Taznakht, a small town renowned for its traditional Berber carpets. Here you will have the opportunity to observe skilled artisans at work and perhaps even purchase a unique souvenir to remember your trip.

As the day progresses, continue to Ait Ben Haddou. UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic monuments. Marvel at the ancient kasbahs and intricate architecture of this desert oasis. Nestled amid the wild beauty of the Atlas Mountains, before settling in for the night.

Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Valley and Gorges

Wake up to the breathtaking scenery of Ouarzazate. Often nicknamed the “Cinema city of Morocco” due to its role as a popular filming location for many films and TV shows. Explore the historic kasbah of Taourirt and the picturesque oasis of Skoura before continuing your journey to the spectacular Dades Valley.

As you travel through this rugged terrain. You’ll be treated to panoramic views of the lush palm groves and towering rock formations that define this picturesque region. Arrive at the Dadès Gorges, where you can take a leisurely hike or simply soak up the serene beauty of the surroundings.

Spend the night in a traditional riad nestled among the beautiful landscapes of the Dades Valley, enjoying the tranquility of the desert night sky.

Boumalne – Tinghir – Erfoud – Merzouga

Delve deeper into the heart of the desert as you leave Boumalne and head towards Tinghir. A charming town known for its lush palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Continue your journey through the stunning Todra Gorge, where imposing cliffs rise on either side, creating a breathtaking natural spectacle.

From there, head to Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara Desert, before finally reaching the desert village of Merzouga. Here you will have the opportunity to experience the magic of the desert with the chance to explore the vast dunes by camel.

Try your hand at sandboarding or simply relax and admire the mesmerizing sunset over the Sahara.

Merzouga

Take a day to fully immerse yourself in the wonders of Merzouga. Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, painting the desert landscape in shades of gold and pink. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars, accompanied by the beats of local music, before retiring to your comfortable desert camp for a good night’s sleep.

Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Say goodbye to the desert as you travel on the final leg of your journey to Marrakech. Travel through the picturesque Draa Valley, famous for its lush date palm plantations and ancient ksars (fortified villages), before returning to Ouarzazate. Here you will have the opportunity to explore any sites you may have missed on the first day before continuing to Marrakech. Arriving in the bustling “Red City”, you will be greeted by the vibrant sights and sounds of its bustling medina, marking the end of your unforgettable adventure through the diverse landscapes and rich culture of Morocco.
